Another three Top Twenty finishes in Italy for Loris Cresson #ITAWorldSBK
Loris Cresson added another triple top twenty finish to his WorldSBK career stat card, the young Belgian bringing his Kawasaki ZX10R-R home in twentieth, eighteenth and twentieth respectively in the three races at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli this past weekend – the latest round of the 2021 FIM Superbike World Championship.
The Italian circuit was another new venue for the #84 on the larger Superbike, Loris having ridden at the circuit previously in World Supersport.
Once again improving significantly as the weekend progressed, Cresson heads to the UK round at Donington Park in a fortnight eager to keep the momentum going.
“I struggled with the electronics on Friday, and we lost a lot of time trying to find a good setting. We changed things completely on Saturday morning, but I was not able to use the qualifying tyre as I wanted, and I was not able to improve. We were able to fight in Race 1, as I closed the gap to the group that was further ahead in qualifying. Today was better and we made a good step in the Superpole race, and I felt a lot more comfortable. We tried something for Race 2 in the afternoon, but it didn’t give us completely the feeling and result we expected. Nevertheless, we continue to learn and analyse everything, and we go to Donington Park for the next round keen to make another step forward.”
