Donington round ends in DNF for Loris

FIM World Supersport Championship’s 8th race was ridden on Sunday in quite changeable weather conditions in Great Britain, Donington Park round. On Saturdays Superpole a pouring rain started just after three ridden laps and because of that the starting positions to the race were challenging. Belgian rider Loris Cresson started from the 17th position on the grid, but saw his challenge end in a crash soon after.

The crash was quite hard, Loris hit his helmet heavily on the ground and he needed to be taken in to the hospital for a check-up. Luckily it was good news from the hospital and he didn’t have any injuries.

Loris Cresson:
”The weekend was a bit hard, with not a lot of laps done during the whole weekend. We broke one engine on Friday, then rain during the QP after three laps. This morning the feeling was better, but unfortunately in the race I crashed in the first lap. I can’t remember what happened and I’m sorry for this because it could have been a nice race! Now let’s work during the summer break.”

The World Supersport season continues after the summer break in Portugal, at Portimão Round on 6th – 8th of September 2019.
